Ladies, we’re so excited for the upcoming prayer retreat to be held this year at New City May 2 from 9 am-12:30 pm! Our speaker will be Karen Ellis, and the theme is "Deeper in His Presence." We'll gather and enjoy breakfast and coffee together (bring a breakfast/brunch item to share). And we’ll take time for personal and group prayer.

As we celebrate our church's 50th year, there will be special events throughout 2026. On April 23rd, there will be a concert featuring James Ward's worship songs that were written and shared throughout our history. This is to be a night of worship and praise to our glorious King, who blessed our church with mission, with people who came to serve, and a worship style that supported that mission. The concert will be at 7:00pm and admission is free. An offering will be taken for the technology needs of our music department. If you are unable to attend, you can donate here.

Thank you for your patience in the rescheduling of our chili cook off! We have finally landed on April 12th right after church in conjunction with our Corn hole Tournament (Spring Fling)! Come out with your whole family and eat chili and play corn hole! While you eat chili you can watch corn hole or donate straight to our youth trips this summer! If you can’t come out on April 12th there are items we still need, so sign up today! This is an all ages welcome event!

Are you ready to engage more fully at New City Fellowship? This Fri. evening, Saturday morning seminar is a great next step to learn more about the church (our beliefs, vision, values, ministries, and meaningful church membership) and to spend some time with our pastors in a classroom setting. The class is required for those who wish to become members of the church.

The need is real and it's a joy to hand a box to someone with God's blessing and see the relief and gratitude on their faces. 5th Sunday is Food Pantry Sunday, however, you can bring items anytime. During the week, please call the Church Office and let us know you'll be bringing items. On Sundays, you can drop items into the containers located in the foyer, at the Children's entrance (glass door) and Rudy's Room.

Please do not bring any items not listed. Sweet peas, spaghettios, peanut butter, crackers (plain), fruit cups, instant potatoes (pkgs), rice sides, corn muffin mix, oatmeal packets, grit packets, cereal, ramen noodles, canned meats and spaghetti sauce. When possible, flip-top cans are best for recipients. The 55+ Ministry to senior adults will hold its Spring Luncheon on Friday, March 27 at 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall. With our inspiring devotional, lively music and fun activities, we will explore and express the joy of the new life we have in Christ. Suggested donation at the door: $5. Marriage Discipleship for Everyone is a refresh of New City's Marriage Mentoring Ministry. A survey has been created to collect information about individual perceptions, beliefs, and understandings of marriage. Your responses will help us better understand how people view marriage today. All answers are confidential and will be used to help inform the Marriage Discipleship ministry team.

Come together with New City Fellowship, New City East Lake, Thorns2Crowns Ministries, East Lake Expression Engine, and First Presbyterian to celebrate Christ our King and honor Black History Month through songs and spirituals! Gospel Fest is a musical celebration of God's character through black gospel. We will sing congregational songs and hear choral performances. The event typically includes a homily from a local pastor (the last two years we heard from Pastors Alfred Johnson of Church of the Firstborn and Eddie Jacks of Resurrected Baptist Church). Childcare is not provided. Gospel Fest will take place Sunday, February 22nd at 4:00 pm in the First Presbyterian Church sanctuary.

Choir Rehearsals for the Spring choir season resume on Saturday, January 17th at 10:30 am. Ages 12 and up are welcome to participate. No audition required. If you have questions contact Daniel or Prakash for more information.

New City is turning 50—and we’re throwing a birthday party! As part of our anniversary celebration, everyone is invited to stay after church on Sunday, January 18th for a church birthday potluck where we celebrate both our church’s big milestone and everyone’s birthday all at once. Please bring a side dish to share for the potluck. We look forward to celebrating 50 years of God’s faithfulness and the people who make New City Fellowship such a special place.

Calling all cake bakers! To make this one giant birthday party extra sweet, we need a cake for every month of the year—12 birthday cakes and 2 gluten-free cakes.

Join us Sunday morning, January 18th, from 9:00 - 10:00 AM in the fellowship hall for a New City ministry fair. There’s no Sunday School, so everyone can gather. Enjoy coffee and snacks, and interact with ministry leaders. Learn about serving opportunities and prayerfully consider where the Lord is leading you to serve with your gifts and abilities.

1. A New class led by elder Andrew Kean designed especially (but not exclusively!) for young adults will be based on Peterson's book, "A Long Obedience in the Same Direction." It studies the song of ascent Psalms as a pattern of Christian living and discipleship.While the class is especially designed for college age and young adults, the "young at heart" are also encouraged to attend. Meets in the Fellowship Hall room nearest Rudy's Room.

2. Covenant Theology is taught by elder Noel Weichbrodt and Elyssa Weichbrodt, atr professor at Covenant College. This is a continuing class for the Fall. Those who attended in the fall are encouraged to return as well as any newly interested adults. Mets in the middle room of the Fellowship Hall.

3. A study of the book of Hebrews will be led by elder Charlie Ingram. This is a continuing class from the Fall. Those who attended in the fall are encouraged to return as well as any newly interested adults. Meets in the Fellowship Hall room nearest the kitchen.

Coming up on January 11, 2026 is the annual GriefShare Video Series. This ministry is designed for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one, and it will take place at 2:30 to 4 pm on concurrent Sundays for 13 weeks at the Grace House (church office bldg.).
