Woodlands Gathering Hosts Mark Charles
Woodlands Gathering PCA (9966 Lovell Rd., Soddy Daisy, TN) invites us to hear Mark Charles the evening of July 13th at 6PM! Mark along with Soong-Chan Rah authored the book, Unsettling Truths. Mark will lecture on Common Memory: Christian Nationalism, Creation Stories and Corn. Many followers of Christ are being led astray by an ideology known as Christian Nationalism simply because of the use of the word "Christian". However, this concept is not new, but is a reincarnation of Manifest Destiny (19th Century), American Exceptionalism (18th Century) and the Doctrine of Discovery (15th Century). Actions inspired by these firmly held beliefs cause great harm to thousands and bring dishonor to the name of Christ as well as Christian. Come learn more from a Navajo/Anglo believer!
