Outreach Information
GLAD (Glenwood Learning and Adventure Days) is a mentoring program designed to reach out to the children of the surrounding community. GLAD focuses on academic enrichment, life skill development, and spiritual discipleship. We normally work with approximately 30 elementary age children and depend on volunteers to assist us in ministering to the children we serve. An ideal ratio is one tutor per child, and the children love forming relationships with their tutors who are able to serve.
GLAD operates Monday through Thursday during the school year and becomes CAMP GLAD day camp during the summer.
Volunteering with this ministry is a great way to get more involved in the church. It is also a way to meet some really unique children with untapped gifts and skills waiting to be released.
