Prayer

The Lord told Isaiah "my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples." The Apostle Paul gave this encouragement to the the Church.  "... I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,  for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way."

Here are some opportunities for prayer at New City.

Newsletter Prayer List

Our weekly email newsletter has a list of names of those in our Church and Community who are ill, having surgery, grieving, recovering and/or are shut in. Send names to the church office.

Email Prayer Group

This group includes church staff, officers, and other prayer volunteers, who commit to receive urgent/time-sensitive prayer requests by email, ordinarily within 24 hours of submission, along with other requests which people prefer to be restricted to the church family (rather than this public website). Membership in the group is ordinarily limited to New City attenders. Note these requests will not appear on the prayer hub web page.

Wednesday Zoom Prayer

This weekly zoom meeting begins at 11:45 am and typically lasts about 45 minutes. Contact the church office to get the Zoom link.

1st Sunday Prayer

First Sunday of each month at 5:00 pm in Rudy's room. This one hour prayer service opens in song, includes a brief devotional, a large group prayer time and small group prayer as needed, then closes in song.
