2024 Thanksgiving Boxes Outreach
The Thanksgiving Offering is an New City Fellowship tradition of sharing God’s abundance with folks in our church and community that may have a hard time providing a Thanksgiving meal for their families. This is not a one shot effort but part of a longer term building of relationship with those in need.
This is a church-wide mobilization to show grace in action at a point of need. In this way we holistically show and share the Gospel.
For Thanksgiving, we buy turkeys, canned goods, and some fresh produce and assemble and deliver boxes prior to Thanksgiving.
1. During the Sunday service Nov. 17, we'll have a special processional offering for the Thanksgiving Boxes project. We will give thanks to the Lord as all who wish to donate food items or financial gifts will be invited to bring their offerings to the front of the sanctuary. Checks should be made out to New City, with a memo "Thanksgiving Offering." If giving online at newcityfellowship.com, choose the “Thanksgiving Boxes” Fund.
See the list below for the list of food items you can bring.
If you are unable to attend this Sunday, you can bring food items by Nov. 22 to the church office during office hours (M-F 9 am- 4:30 pm), or bring with you to the Fellowship Hall Saturday 11/23 when we meet to assemble boxes.
